Yamaha launch 2018 livery in Thailand

Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team full loaded for Australia

Proudly bearing their new colours ahead of the start of the 2018 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship season, Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team-mates Alex Lowes and Michael van der Mark visited Thailand on Thursday to reveal their full racing strip.

Joined by their fellow Yamaha riders in other classes, the reception held by the Japanese factory prepared the teams for a stunning season as they are set to represent Yamaha across many classes over the world.

The two WorldSBK riders will now head to Australia in time for the opening round of the season at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, as they will look at making those final steps in the Official test from 19th – 20th February before taking to the track for the first Free Practise session of 2018 on Friday 23rd February.

Continuing to improve the YZF-R1’s pace in the WorldSBK championship following their full return to the class in 2016, Lowes and van der Mark took six podium finishes last season and with some solid tests over the winter, they will hope to continue this run of form into the new season. Dressed to impress for 2018, the duo look the part and are now ready to get going on track.
